Nili Samet, Bar-Ilan University
During the 2008‒2009 academic year, a generous grant by the Jeselsohn Center enabled the addition of two academic courses to the curriculum of the Assyriological Section in the Dept. of Hebrew Language at Bar-Ilan University. The courses, “Akkadian for Advanced Students” and “Biblical History in Light of Mesopotamian Royal Inscriptions”, were taught by Dr. Nili Samet, currently a senior lecturer at Bar Ilan University and then a doctoral student. The courses enabled students from various departments to broaden and deepen their professional training in the field of Assyriology, a highly important discipline for the study of Bible, Biblical History, Hebrew Language and Semitic studies.
