Lecture by Prof. Tibor Grüll, Bar-Ilan University, 2023

Prof. Grüll is a historian who teaches at the University of Pécs in Hungary. In his research, he relies on a wide spectrum of data, including archaeological, epigraphic (inscriptions) and numismatic (coins) findings in order to create a broad, vivid and fascinating historical picture.

In the lecture planned in our department, Prof. Grüll will present a variety of archaeological findings that teach about the life of the Jews and their material culture during the Roman period in Pannonia and Noricum, the region of present-day Hungary and Austria.
